The most important thing is to stay hydrated. Make sure to drink adequately leading up to your sauna, as well as bringing your own water. For most people, 2L is typically a good amount. Remove jewelry as that can heat up in the sauna and burn you. Do not wear any makeup or scented perfumes.
What should I bring?
Please bring 2 towels, one to sit on in the sauna and the other to towel off with. Wear a bathing suit in the sauna, please note that we do not have a changing room so please come prepared. Don’t forget your water!
What should I expect during a sauna session?
Expect to relax and connect with yourself as well as others. A typical sauna session is 2-4 ’rounds’. Each round is 5-15 minutes. We keep the sauna between 160-190 degrees F. Please respect your body and leave at any time. Once you leave the sauna you will spend some time cooling down, letting your heart rate and temperature return to normal. Cooling down may simply be stepping out of the sauna and having a seat, or it could be doing a cold plunge or good lay in the snow.
How many people does the sauna fit?
The sauna can fit up to 6 people.
Are there restrictions on who should use the sauna?
Make sure to consult your doctor prior to doing sauna and/or cold plunge therapy. Do not sauna if you are pregnant.
